abtToledo Ballet is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 8 level program that combines quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development.  The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.

STUDENT LEVEL PLACEMENT AND ADVANCEMENT

Students are placed in levels according to what the School feels is appropriate for their age and experience.  Students will not automatically move on to the next level at the end of each school year.  It will take 2 to 3 years of training at any level to arrive at the proper physical strength, skill proficiency, and emotional maturity of that level.  The School Director makes all final decisions regarding level placement.  Click here to read more about student level placement and advancement.

STUDENT EVALUATIONS

Teaching faculty evaluates students’ progress throughout the year.  Students will receive written evaluations from their teachers in June.  Parents may schedule a meeting to discuss their child’s progress and may do so by first contacting the Toledo Ballet office.
